The Pier is a documentary produced by Stavro Filmproduktion AB in coproduction with the Swedish National Broadcaster SVT and the regional film fund Film i Skåne.

The film was shot and directed by Nils Petter Löfstedt between December 2008 and July 2009. The vast majority of the film takes place under a pier in the city of Malmö and portraits the construction of one of the most secret and at the same time widely discussed street-art project in Sweden.

The Pier is Nils Petter Löfstedt’s second short documentary film. The first film was titled Paragraph 23 and was shot during the 2001 riots at the Hvitfeldska Gymnasiet in Gothenburg during the EU-meeting. Nils Petter also works as a still image photographer and earlier this year he published this photobook.
